What is Element 40™?
The finest Advanced Technical Ceramic on the market.
The finest Advanced Technical Ceramic on the market.
What It Is...
Element 40™ Advanced Technical Ceramic is created through a complex process using finely milled Zirconium powder along with pigment and binders. The resulting paste-like material is injected into molds at extreme pressure. The material then goes through a series of processes culminating in sintering over a period of up to six days, achieving a temperature of over 2500° Fahrenheit. Several finishing processes of grinding and polishing complete the process.
This process results in highly durable, scratch resistant, heat tolerant, chemically inert, hypo-allergenic structures for a variety of applications such as aerospace, bio-medical, dental, military and luxury industries.

What It’s Not...
Element 40™ Advanced Technical Ceramic is not your grandmother’s dishes. Advanced technical ceramics should not be confused with pottery or porcelain, which are more porous and easily susceptible to breakage. The density of high-tech ceramic is on average four times heavier than pottery.
Element 40™ Advanced Technical Ceramic is not nano-ceramic. Nano-ceramic is a plating solution with a minute percentage of ceramic material. It does not carry the same characteristics of advanced technical ceramics. For instance, Element 40™ Ceramic is extremely durable and a solid structure remaining scratch free over time. Similarly, nano-ceramic coating will reduce scratches on the surface. However, nano-ceramic is plated onto another substance, so it will not remain scratch free and will wear off over time. Element 40™ Ceramic will not wear off—it is solid ceramic through and through.
Element 40™ Advanced Technical Ceramic is not enamel. Enamel is either crushed glass melted onto a surface or a mixture of resin and other materials applied to a surface. The enamel process does not exhibit the durability of ceramic.
Element 40™ Advanced Technical Ceramic is not cubic zirconia. CZ is the cubic form occurring on the way to making advanced technical ceramics. Cubic zirconia involves a different mixture and lower temperatures. The material is a 7 on the Mohs Scale.
